I’m leaping and singing in the circle of your love

Psalm 31:6 (The Message)

I love this verse—textbook David, right? I think of that time he danced wildly in front of the ark of the covenant and embarrassed his wife. David was all about some leaping and singing.

London loves the leaping and singing, too. It’s beautiful. She reacts so authentically and dramatically to joy. If I reacted to God’s love the same way London does to something she appreciates, I’d be bouncing and yelling and singing and running all day long. Sometimes I feel like doing just that. Most days I try to do a little of it.

A friend of mine once commented on some kids running in front of us. “Why are they always running?” she asked. I wondered, “Why aren’t we?”
