I remember on my wedding day thinking my mother was so beautiful.
She is beautiful.
She’s strong and loyal. She tells stories that make you cry or laugh or cheer.
She inspires things—admiration, action, allegiance, achievement, art…
She loves her grandchildren so much it hurts.
James Joyce said, “Whatever else is unsure in this stinking dunghill of a world a mother’s love is not.”
I like that—inappropriate for a Mother’s Day card, the stinking dunghill and all, but really true and really good.
Thank you Mom for a love that is not unsure. I see God in you.
